Position Summary:






1.0GENERAL SUMMARY



This position will perform the full range of Configuration and Control functions as defined by customer contracts and product shipment requirements reporting to the Program Manager. This position will involve working closely with both internal and external customers while establishing all necessary processes to ensure that contractual data moves between customers, suppliers and internal functional departments with the highest level of integrity in a timely manner.

2.0PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES





































• Develops, maintains and enforces Configuration and Data Management (CDM) requirements (e.g., plans, policies, directives, procedures, etc.) ensuring product configuration integrity are met for engineering documents and product hardware through all product lifecycle stages.



• Works closely with customer configuration and data management personnel ensuring AGT policies, processes and procedures satisfy program configuration requirements. Accountable for successful customer configuration and data management audits that would include configuration audits, functional configuration audits and physical configuration audits.



• Manages change requests with customers ensuring product configuration is maintained and appropriate change classifications are applied when changes are incorporated into the product.



• Participate in technical review of proposed design changes and new product introductions in order to provide feedback related to product configuration and contractual commitments.



• Organizes and conducts change board meetings for internal change requests approval prior to implementation and/or submission to customer.



• Have authority on the Change Control Board (CCB) to ensure Compliance.



• Prepare reports which outline change effect on overall product – from top level assemblies down to component level.



• Tracks status of pending change requests and initiates change order when approval received from the customer. Coordinates Change Management (CM) issues with customer and supplier CM personnel.



• Leads AGT configuration audit team ensuring suppliers have defined procedures for product change control and objective evidence that procedures are being followed.



• Oversees the Configuration and Document Control areas ensuring resource needs are balanced with respect to program workloads. Supports program-related proposals with estimated hours needed to meet and support configuration control requirements.



• Participates in the preparation and selection of engineering software tools ensuring CDM requirements are achieved throughout AGT faculties.





































3.0 EQUIPMENT PROFICIENCY REQUIREMENTS



• Thorough knowledge of Microsoft office suite software and utilization of all aspects.





































4.0 KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS



• 10 - 15 years of related experience in CDM environment



• This position requires graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor/ Master’s degree in related field and must have six to eight (6-8) years experience in supervisory management/leadership role. ORan equivalent amount of experience and education.



• Requires detailed understanding of Data management policies including data requirements for identification, submittal, archiving and contract closure for each customer and supplier including Document Control, Data Rights, and Export Control.



• Experience demonstrating application of this level of CDM will be required including effective direct dealings with Program Management, Engineering and Manufacturing personnel including external customers.



• Working familiarity with Engineering Development Programs that includes manufacturing and support processes covering military-related contracts using multiple level of CM Control.



• Previous experience with product database software and configuration management software preferred.



• Additional requirements include self-starter, strong organizational skills, creative problem solving, excellent written and oral communication and fluency in working the MS Office applications.



• Knowledge and experience with logistics programs in a government environment is preferred.

• Proficiency in presenting ideas effectively, orally and in writing and dealing constructively with conflict.



• Skillful in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data from a wide variety of sources and taking appropriate action.



• Experience in selecting, supervising, training, and evaluating employees.





































6.0 SPECIAL TRAINING/QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS



• Knowledge of Federal Government contracting.

• Work is normally performed in typical interior office work environment with very limited physical effort required and very limited exposure to any physical risk.
