Required Education: GED Location: Huntsville, Alabama Required Experience: Experienced Contact: Robert Eddy Grade: 5714 Employee Type: Full Time Bid opened: 08/24/2009 Job Category: Training Job Type: Public .:: Essential Job Duties: -Deliver Advanced Individual Training (AIT) to Soldiers attending the US Army Ordnance Munitions & Electronics Maintenance School in accordance with the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) Program of Instruction (POI) for Phase II of the 94M Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) -Conduct classroom/laboratory conference, discussion, demonstration, and practical exercises (includes course introduction, technical information delivery, hardware practical exercises and various forms of computer-assisted instruction); Administer and grade written and hands-on performance tests; conduct student critiques, academic counseling and evaluation of students; and perform supervisory support for each student. -Prepare classroom or training area, including reviewing lesson plans, subject matter material, inserting and removing faults impairments and problems, and manage training aids and devices -Travel as required to support mobile training team effort. .:: Mental/Physical Requirements: -Professional written and oral communication skills required -Be physically fit and able to perform duties requiring moderate lifting, long periods of standing, sitting or walking, and inclement weather conditions on occasion -Be able to provide additional instructional support which may be required including mid-shift and night shift Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information .:: Education/Experience Requirements: -5 years experience supervising and performing direct and general support level maintenance and repair on MOS specific Ground Based Sensor (GBS) and FIREFINDER radar electronic assemblies and associated equipment. Experience includes; Troubleshooting the Ground Based Sensor (GBS) and FIREFINDER Radar assemblies, subassemblies, modular and circuit elements with common and system-peculiar test equipment for deficiencies and malfunctions; repairing, removing, and/or replacing defective components and parts of these systems; inspecting, testing, and adjusting system components and test equipment to specific tolerances. Determining serviceability and disposition of GBS and FIREFINDER Radar system assemblies, subassemblies, and parts; perform initial, in-process, on- site technical, and quality control inspections. -BNCOC required; ANCOC preferred; qualified in the Army Instructor Training Course, Systems Approach to Training or equivalent is desired.
